Cold-Start Rituals: Keeping Your Build Charged Through Winter
EVRYDAY Workshop·2024-08-01·5 min read

Winter is where most builds quietly degrade. Not from riding — from neglect. A few small rituals keep your machine ready to charge when the roads clear.
Battery first. Store between 40% and 60% if you are parking for weeks, and keep the pack above freezing where you can. Lithium cells hate the cold, and deep cold plus a full charge is the fastest way to age them.
Tires next. Cold air drops pressure fast — check before every ride, not once a month. Grip is life when the surface is unpredictable.
Finally, the details: clean the drivetrain, check torque on your critical bolts, and wipe down connectors. Ten minutes of care now saves a season of problems later.
